K20 Rocker Covers

K20 Rocker Covers

We had these made due to media and acid getting stuck behind the factory baffles when people get them refurbished. We have bought many cars over the years that have developed rod knock after fitting a refurbished rocker cover and the trapped media escaping and failing into the engine.
brand new anodised alloy baffle
The plates are cut from billet aluminum and anodised. each hole and shape is cut with a CNC machine to ensure they are a perfect fit and finish. Its not just the plates that are special. Once the old rocker has had its OEM baffle removed they are hot washed and vapour blasted before themselves head into the CNC. Each rocker has the old fixings drilled out and then tapped to accept the very same screw that a certain well made sump baffle uses.
Each rocker is then faced to ensure the new baffle fits perfectly everytime. a small amount of honda bond on the face and some Green 603 or 648 Loctite on the retaining screws ensures they will never fall out. Infact in testing we have had to apply heat to them to even be able to remove the screws. We have ran these rockers for a full season in our Road, Rally and Race cars to ensure there reliability. They have been throgh the ringer and after sufficent testing we decided to bring them to the market.
One of our rockers fitted to Alym Holdens 512 horsepower DC5 Turbo finished in Yellow Cerakote
Rocker fitted to our own K24 EG finished in a Black Cerakote.
We will be offering them either Painted, Powdercoated or Cerakoted in the future, for now they are ready to be painted by your favourite paint shop. They will also soon be available with AN fittings placed behind the baffle to prevent excess blowby which you will find with most baffles fitted with AN fittings that dont sit behind the baffle. watch this space
